MG Force Impulse Gundam

Started building my MG Force Impulse, because I feel my emo-ness coming back, lol.Yeah, since there’s not Seed Destiny hype these days, it’s kind of hard for me to get in the mood to build my Force Impulse. BUTTT, because alot of things made me feel nolgastic recently (specifically teenage days :P).

Anyways, I started at a random order again. So I only built the core fighter, Force Silhouette and some of the weapons.

Again, I’m trying the new lighting method, but I think I’m doing it wrong again, lol. (But I think I almosttt got it figured out.)

The wing span of the Force Silhouette is ridiculously wide, But maybe it’ll look less ridiculous when it goes on the Impulse.

I’m probably going to top coat an Old MG while I’m finishing up the Force Impulse… but I haven’t figured out which one I should do it to yet….

Technically finished building the Force Impulse, but I’m waiting to top coat it and finish doing the weathering. Still got to take the photos too… soooo I’m going to go do that now. :P

It’s been a while since my previous update on the Force Impulse. But I’m finally done building, weathering and top coating it. :)
Like most people now… school have started for me, and that’s why I’m taking forever to push out new posts. But I’m not dead yet :D

This is the Impulse before weathering and topcoat.
For those who don’t have the MG Force Impulse, and is considering it. I’d say pick it up, because some issues that new MG’s face, like how there’s too much parts that’s movable in the inner frame making the MG seemingly more fragile and too stiff to pose, is not present during the Seed/ Seed Destiny MG’s. I think it’s because the Seed/ Destiny’s MG’s were sold during the transition point between older MG’s and new MG’s with full inner frames.

So having built the Strike E, Strike Rouge, Sword Impulse, and now the Force impulse. I’d say the Seed/ Destiny’s MG’s are definitely worth the money. Although older Seed MG’s don’t have the option for Gunpla  builders to split their fingers, the articulation is way up there amongst the best.

What’s a good Gundam hand if they can’t flip people the bird? :P

So yes, Bandai included an extra set of hands, that can’t move, and is solely used to hold the ship destroyer sword.  Usually I hate these hands, because they’re pointless and ugly/ unnatural looking. But in Force Impulse’s case, it’s totally necessary, as the split fingers hand can’t hold up the heavy sword steadily. While the extra manipulators do an exceptionally good job at it.

As you can see, it can hold the sword at 180 degrees without it even tilting downwards.

Here’s a more clear shot to my finished Force Impulse. :)

I thought the Force Silhouette backpack was going to be heavy as hell, making the Gundam tilt/fall backwards 24/7. But luckily, due to it’s symmetric design, it poses no problem… but Force Impulse belongs on the display stand which I have yet to get….

I think I kind of got the hang of the lighting in this set of photos. :D

Another good thing about the Seed/ Destiny MG’s I’ve built so far is that none of them have these little parts that fall off… like Sinanju’s spikes… or Unicorn’s armor…. :P

I don’t think I have any complains about this MG, but if I have to nit pick…. then…. I guess the side skirt armor is a bit too long, which CAN get in the way if you try to make the Impulse do a full split.

I really like how the feet are differentiated by left and right, unlike most Gundams where they’re usually the same.

So yeah, this is a MG that’s going to be worth its price, so for those who want to get into Master Grades, this is not a bad choice.

And with this done, and school keeping me busy, it’s going to take me a while to post another MG post. Except for the next one, which is already done, just need to take photos of it. :O

Anyways, like the Destiny, maybe I’ll take more photos of it later on. (Maybe when I get an Action Base for this.) :P
